Incredible 3 walnut stripe frame from 1930's and in my personal collection. I called this " the Fish Owl", inspired by a Great Horned Owl that fished with me on occasion at my favorite pond in eastern Colorado. Inspired by the two knots in the butt, as the Owl eyes, and fishtail butt resembling his horns (ears)... when this is tipped up the handle looks like an Owl on top of a dead trunk with a larger knot halfway down being his nest. Unusual and wonderfull piece. Handle is bookmatched curly Zebra from Africa. One of my favorite personal pieces. Fully scalloped head and net will be Coffee Brown.
