Welcome to the Streamwalker Fishing Nets website. Every Streamwalker Net is custom made, carved, finished and sewed by hand. The unique frames are extracted center cores from the world's very finest tennis rackets. These frames are much stronger than any current production wood fishing nets and would cost hundreds of dollars to duplicate today. These cores are relaminated, mounted with the very finest exotic wood from all over the world and reshaped and carved to produce the strongest, most practical and most beautiful wood nets ever made.

The idea for these unusual and beautiful nets was hatched in the mind of Randy Simons in the early 1970's. He was a very busy commercial photographer with only time to make a few for his own use. In the meantime, with an eye on the future, he began collecting tennis rackets from all around the world. Now finally, he has started making limited numbers for other fisherman to enjoy.

      The appearance, style, quality, and finish gives these nets, what can only be described as, visual impact! They contain many exotic woods from around the world, many of which are no longer available. After final sanding, two coats of Danish oil, and ten to twelve coats of hand rubbed tung oil or wipe on poly are applied over several days for water resistance and durability. Polishing with steel wool between coats, minimizes dust and gives a beautiful high gloss luster.

The oval bow shape, with multiple laminations (up to 11!), gives them much greater strength than other nets, and a wider mouth for greater effective capture area. The bow is also bowl shaped to increase the capture area to the outside diameter of the bow, instead of the inside.

      The longer handle reaches fish much easier and sooner resulting in fewer lost fish. Long handles are much better for your knees and back when you're "really hammering them!"

      The ergonomically carved grips offer an extremely secure and extraordinarily comfortable grip, wet or dry, with or without gloves. Our double spiral grips are grooved to fit the fingers and add a beautiful artistic look.
